Verdict

Not a race to get seriously involved in and Hugwity is the suggestion to small stakes ahead of Absolute Utopia and Tumbleweed Tenor. Giles Bravery's charge is well in to the veteran stage of his career and is on a longish losing sequence but showed he still retains plenty of enthusiasm for the game when a promising fourth in a fair Newmarket claimer last time. The 11-year-old was doing all his best work at the finish that day and the combination of a step up in trip and a drop in grade should make him the one to beat. Absolute Utopia has claims on his back-to-back wins in similar grade at Bath and Folkestone this term but has been below his best of late and may struggle to concede 6lb to the selection. Tumbleweed Tenor has place claims on his close second in a Lingfield Polytrack seller last month but is not the most reliable of animals and whether he can reproduce the same effort back on turf remains open to considerable doubt so Hugwity should have his measure on these terms.
