Mana Pools has been knocking on the door of late and may gain a deserved success while recent winner Banningham Blaze and Anyhow, along with the lightly weighted Island Lady look the pick of the remainder. Jeremy Glover's mare has been called a few choice names in the past but has done little wrong in recent times in useful handicap company and deserves a change of fortune. The daughter of Brief Truce put up an excellent effort when a strong finishing second over a furlong less at Haydock last week and looks sure to give another good account off the same mark and back over this more suitable trip. Banningham Blaze and Anyhow both come here in tremendous heart but this pair carry a 6lb penalty for their respective wins at Lingfield and Windsor and may prove vulnerable. Island Lady is an unexposed sort who will appreciate the step up to this trip for the first time after a staying-on third on her handicap debut over ten furlongs at Bath last time but Mana Pools has solid credentials and is taken to come out on top.
