Piquet ran well at Lingfield last time, staying on late in the day, and in this less-exalted grade, this course and distance winner should give you a good run for your money. Mad made eyecatching late headway over seven furlongs at Lingfield and, as one of the less-exposed runners, has to be granted consideration, although Oases finished in front of him that day. The latter, who also finished well on that occasion, can get behind but at least this step up in trip might help the cause. Littleton Zephir is another course and distance winner who will be more at home in this company, while Cross Ash also finished with a head of steam last time, at Wolverhampton and, if taking to this surface, is another that clearly has to respected. The best of Phred's summer Turf form puts him in the mix, although he has yet to sparkle on artificial surfaces, while Logistical has nosedived in the ratings, a similar comment applying to Easily Averted. The latter clearly has a chance based on his Brighton last October but the pair of them have a bit to prove now. Overall, though, once again it is Piquet who gets the vote.
