        Verdict

        Tambourine Davis showed plenty of promise in four starts in bumpers last term and has to be respected on her hurdling debut but Classic Quart had a similar level of ability in bumpers and looks to be progressing over hurdles so gets the vote with Gaelic Gift rated the best of the rest. The selection showed only a modicum of ability when switched to hurdles last season but showed improved form on her recent return at Towcester last month and she gets the vote in anticipation of finding further improvement. The Evan Williams-trained Andrea Gale has given little cause for optimism is two starts over timber this term, while Diplomatic Daisy would need to step up on all known evidence to trouble the judge. Brendan Powell's Gaelic Gift has shown ability in all four starts in bumpers and has to be considered on her hurdling debut but Classic Quart has solid claims and she is preferred.
