In depth

Verdict

Chief Commander, Kingsgate Prince and Zato are three against the field in this competitive affair and the vote is given to Kingsgate Prince. The selection had been in good form of late prior to disappointing last time out at Kempton. However the return to this surface should suit and with a fast pace likely he looks the one to be on. Chief Commander rates there main danger on his latest second behind Sigismundus but that was in a handicap and this looks tougher and his overall profile leaves him with a little to find. Zato hails from a yard in form and could go well at a price despite having a 203 day absence to overcome. Rising Cross is another worthy of respect on her best form but she gave the impression she would be suited by a longer trip last time and she looks opposable on that basis. Of the others Close To You is from a yard in form and could go well at a price but he will do well to give weight and a beating to some less exposed rivals and with this in mind for the winner we return to Kingsgate Prince.
