held up, never nearer
behind, effort on inside over 1f out, kept on
tracked leaders, ridden over 2f out, one pace final furlong
always prominent, strong challenge on inside final furlong, always held
slowly into stride, held up in rear, ran on under pressure inside final furlong
dwelt, held up in rear, not clear run rails 2f out, switched right over 1f out, finished strongly
mid-division, ridden and weakened over 2f out
led, set strong pace, headed 3f out, losing place when hampered and weakened over 2f out
tracked leader, led 3f out, headed and not quicken inside final furlong
slowly into stride, always towards rear
dwelt, behind, never dangerous
mid-division, smooth headway 3f out, challenged on bit approaching final furlong, shaken up to lead inside final furlong, cheekily
in touch, hard ridden 2f out, not quicken approaching final furlong
dwelt, always behind
This is a difficult way to round off the afternoon and is a race that raises more questions than answers. Shush makes plenty of appeal on the pick of his form but does have a 42-day absence to overcome and may be best watched today. The same sentiments apply to Shaman and Must Be Magic, who may just need the outing to put them straight. Therefore Molly's Secret is taken as the selection today. Pat Eddery did not give her a hard time when her chance had gone last time but she should have come on greatly for the outing. She goes well on the track and appeals as a value selection here.
