The vote here goes to Billet ahead of Sonny Parkin, Resplendent Nova and Gasping, although there are a number of interesting newcomers to consider. The selection showed decent form in Ireland last season and was considered good enough to run in the Group 1 Phoenix Stakes, in which she showed improved from. It would be dangerous to get too carried away by that run but, if in the same mood, should go well. Maghazi and Blue Lullaby (both from the same stable) and Langdale and Bon Bouche are well-bred and certainly worth a look in the betting, while Resplendent Nova was only caught close home last time over a furlong further here last time and sets a benchmark for the form. Sonny Parkin made good late headway after running green over course and distance last time should be smarter today, although he has a length to find on Gasping. Molly Dancer has yet to build on her Brighton run, and Wembury Point's best previous run came in blinkers, so he might fare well. However, the Tony Mullins-trained Billet has been sent over from Ireland for this, so connections must be very hopeful of success. As such, she gets the vote.
