        Verdict

        The usual suspects very much on view but Linning Wine is clear pick on the figures and he secures the vote ahead of Hiawatha and Nimello. Linning Wine has had his training troubles but he falls unfortunately into the gulf of horses who have ability but have been handicapped right up to their best. Although nine furlongs around Wolves is plenty sharp enough - it would be disappointing if he isn't good enough to dispose of these rivals. Hiawatha is in receipt of lumps of weight and hails from an in-form yard. A poor run over hurdles is somewhat alarming. Nimello knows how to win round here but is unfavoured at the weights with Linning Wine. He is capable of popping up but he has not exactly set the world alight in recent weeks. Noul has been in good heart in recent racecourse visits and is stepped up to nine furlongs. Anduril won first time out for his new stable over course-and-distance and is better drawn today. Linning Wine looks the class performer in the race and is not opposed.
