        Verdict

        A few in here with chances in a competitive event, but we take Wise Owl to follow up his course and distance win from November, with Cristoforo, Cold Turkey, Rehearsal and Dower House all having claims. The selection took to this track particularly well when scoring by five lengths last time, and looked to have a bit more in hand. It is true that he has struggled off makers a bit lower on the the turf than the 11lb he has been raised by for that win, but he does like quick conditions and he looked worth following that day. Cristoforo is respected, as one who hails from the Barney Curley yard and with the champion jockey up. However, he was held off just 1lb higher when last seen out at Newmarket and may have finished winning for now. Cold Turkey is consistent over both hurdles and on the level, and he beat Rehearsal, among others, at Wolverhampton last time. He too needs to produce a lifetime best to follow up, and with a 2lb pull Rehearsal has a chance of reversing form. Of the others, Dower House will be no back number after going up just 1lb for a 10 furlong win here last time, so the veteran is respected, but Wise Owl left a good impression last time and can defy his weight rise to add to that success.
