Polar Haze is making his Lingfield debut but has shown enough on his recent outings at Southwell to suggest he can take this, with Adantino and Warlingham the major threats. Lydia Pearce's seven-year-old ran three decent races at the midlands track in December, the best of which was a length defeat of Lay Down Sally. If handling this different surface he should be capable of beating this moderate bunch. Warlingham does at least have a victory to his name, he landed a similar race to this last month beating Harbour House by a length and three-quarters, he was well beaten in a handicap next time but should run well back in this type of company. Adantino just tired in the closing stages when third to Wood Fern over seven furlongs here last time and is sure to enjoy this drop back in trip. If Tayif , who is entered here on Tuesday, takes his chance he will be a big danger, but it is hard to get enthusiastic about any of the others and Polar Haze is expected to lead them home.
