Jack Of trumps is a rare all-weather entry from Geoff Wragg's yard and is sure to put up a good show, but for the selection it has to be Wizard Of Edge, with Givemethemoonlight suggested as the main danger. Wizard Of Edge is trained by Toby Balding who has his string in good form at present and he has obviously had his training problems having only raced three times in two years. But there was a lot to like about his Salisbury run in August behind Alumni News and the fact that he was an excellent second at Southwell on his racecourse debut suggests that he can go well when fresh. Jack Of Trumps ran well over course and distance in early December behind Windy Britain and looks a certainty for a place. Meanwhile Givemethemoonlight is a model of consistency at varying distances and deserves to be in the shake up. Of the rest Blazing The Trail has shown a modicum of ability to warrant a mention but Wizard Of Edge is chosen to lose his maiden tag.
