TRANSFIXED is about as gutsy a two-year-old as you are likely to find and she is fancied to see off fellow recent winners Sabatini and Valmina. David Evans' filly did well to turn over a hotpot at the track over seven furlongs here the other day and she shouldn't be inconvenienced here by the drop in trip. Adaptable in regard to tactics, she has a good draw to work from and should make a bold bid under her penalty. Coolree Star ran well in defeat at Kempton last time out and Jeremy Glover's gelding brings a solid level of form to the race, Sabatini romped home in a Woverhampton claimer last time out and may still be fairly treated off this re-assesed mark of 75, whilst Ramamara is a consistent filly who is being a given a chance by the handicapper but has five lengths to find with the selection. Maoi Chinn Tire is consistent and seemed to improve slightly for the application of cheekpieces, whilst Slip Sliding Away may improve now tackling handicaps and the yard are flying at present. Valmina has a 4lb rise in the weights for a recent win over five furlongs at Wolverhampton, however that form looks just average and we prefer top-weight Transfixed.
