A guessing game with some of the handicap debutants however we are happy to side with recent winner SCREAMING BRAVE ahead of Rocky Heights and Gibson Square. Mick Channon's gelding ran well in defeat behind Bollin Judith at Redcar before clinging on for victory at Yarmouth over a much shorter trip. That was his first win in 10 starts however with that confidence boost he may be a different proposition now and the step back up in trip is evidently of no concern. Cheek-pieces may bring about some improvement in John Spearing's Rannoch Rose, whilst Fongoli ran well in defeat last time and a repeat performance of that Brighton effort may see her snatch a place at least. The two interesting runners are Rocky Heights and Premier Superstar. The former steps up in trip for her handicap debut and this looks sure to suit this half-sister to Velvet Heights, whilst Premier Superstar looks sure to improve on her first start of the season now stepped up in distance. Gibson Square tries a visor after a poor run at Chepstow and could only be backed if heavily supported, whilst Royal Max is another potential improver for this step up to a mile and a half. Not the strongest of races to finish with however Screaming Brave looks worth a bet.
