SWILLY FERRY broke a few hearts when turned over at odds-on last time but we will give him another chance to shine at the main expense of Almadaa, whilst newcomers like Diamond Johnny G and Kyoatee Kilt need respect. Having run well on his debut in the Brocklesby at Doncaster in March, the selection then filled third spot behind Metal Soldier at Chester. He did bump his head in the stalls which may have contributed to that defeat and so we will give him a chance to atone with the step up in trip likely to suit this son of Wiseman's Ferry. The Shuffler has also had two starts and hasn't shown as much promise in runs at Windsor and Salisbury, but the step up in trip looks a good move and he would be interesting with market support. The newcomer Al Khimiya looks the more interesting of the two fillies, whilst Almadaa looks the potential improver after a race at York on debut that hinted only mildly at promise. This however looks much easier and the experience of the race won't have been lost on him. Amno Dancer and Dashing Doc look the type to do better at three over longer trips, so of more interest may be Diamond Johnny G who represents a stable that can produce precocious juveniles and his dam was a sprint winner at two in the US. Any support for Kyoatee Kilt would be of interest for a yard with a good crop of two-year-old's this season, however it is Swilly Ferry who is taken to get off the mark at the third time of asking.
