INDIAN NARJES is given another chance to confirm her debut promise with Coeus, Degly Bo and Spirit Of Oakdale others to consider for the first of three races to be run on the Polytrack. Mick Channon's filly took second behind a rival with an experience advantage on her debut so it was no shock to see her backed to win at Windsor last time. However, she was fractious during the preliminaries and failed to do herself justice with a laboured display. With that in mind she should be watched with interest ahead of the start but in the hope that she behaves we'll stick with her. Coeus is closely related to some very speedy juveniles so it was slightly disappointing to see him readily outpaced on debut. Whether that was down to inexperience of a lack of pace only time will tell, but this step up to six furlongs should help and he's one to consider. The aforementioned pair are expected to dominate, but there are two newcomers in particular who catch the eye: Degly Bo is a half-brother to multiple listed winner Nashmiah and Spirit Of Oakdale is a well-bred daughter of Acclamation. Our belief is that both will improve for this initial experience and indeed a step up in distance in time but the market will help to clarify matters. With Captain Dimitrios having offered little on debut the rest are hard to make a case for, although support for Eve Johnson Houghton's filly Amistress would be interesting. In all probability this will prove to be an average maiden and Indian Narjes should be up to taking it if on her best behaviour.
