A typically competitive race for the grade brings the curtain down on Lingfield's card and Strictly Speaking is just selected over Runaway Star and Perfect Punch. The Paul Cole-trained gelding has returned to a very reasonable mark and is holding his form well at present. His rider takes another 7lb off his back and he will feel like he has got loose if he can have his own way up front. Runaway Star, who is in foal to Most Welcome, is an obvious danger after scoring at Newmarket last time out. But has been expensive to follow and has put in a bad one after a good one on numerous occasions in the past. Perfect Punch goes well here and is another to watch out for if supported. He does not have too many miles on the clock and should be thereabouts again today. Blue Streak is not the most consistent of performers but is capable of going close if fit after 279 days off the track.
