Verdict

A competitive claimer but two stand out on official ratings. Saharia is actually top-rated but was handed victory last time due to his main rival's jockey dropping his hands. He is something of a thinker who needs things to drop his way and Shane Kelly is the ideal pilot to execute such a strategy. AL KHAN complicates matters as he was engaged at Southwell yesterday. One of two contenders for Violet Jordan, the topweight ran a solid second in a Class 5 handicap at Kempton earlier and has been performing with pleasing consistency this term. Dropped into claiming company for the first time in 2013, he can land this if taking part. Miami Gator can be relied upon to run his race and has shown useful form on the Fibresand the last twice. Returned to Polytack here, Conor Harrison claims a useful 7lb and he should deliver another respectable account. The remainder have it to do on the official ratings.
