Verdict

An open finale with the majority holding fairly respectable claims. Brimstone Hill has compiled a string of consistent placed efforts and should hit the winner's circle sooner or later for the Carson team whilst Destiny Of Dreams was back to form last time with a courageous course and distance success in January. A repeat performance would see the Crowley inmate bang in contention whilst it will be interesting to note the response of topweight Lord Ofthe Shadows to first-time blinkers. Idol Deputy may be up against it upped in this grade and the choice falls to FORTIETH AND FIFTH. Relatively unexposed in comparison to his rivals, his three-year-old campaign was one of considerable promise, rounded off with an excellent fourth behind Silver Lime in a competitive Glorious Goodwood handicap. A mark of 80 to start the new campaign seems more than fair and hopefully he will be straight enough for this seasonal reappearance as there seems plenty more to come from him.
