In depth

Verdict

Regal Royale, Cape of Storms and Musical Script have some appeal in this tight looking handicap, and we'll go with Regal Royale. He was on a hat-trick last time out, but stumbled from the start costing him any chance, and this represents a step down in class from what he's been used to. He should benefit from a high draw, and as long as he comes out better could take some beating, even though he's giving weight away to many. Cape of Storms is racing for the first time in nearly 3 months. Only once in his last ten runs has he failed to make the frame, but he's won only one of those. Most of these have won at this distance at some time or another, including Musical Script, who hit the high notes here in February from a bad draw, but couldn't follow that up. He's got a better draw today and should be involved at the business end. But we'll side with Regal Royale.
