Broughtons Fancy showed up well on her first run for Andrew Reid after being claimed out of David Evans' yard after sucesses in selling and claiming company. She seems to be improving steadily on the evidence of her last three runs. Tom Marquand's 3lb claim will aid her cause and she still looks to inhabit a fair handicap mark. However, Adam KIrby looks an interesting booking for NAZIBA, who looked to be going the right way until disappointing at Wolverhampton last time when well backed. David Menuisier has made a good start to his third year of training, having already beaten last year's total and his filly is worth another chance. Belle Mare Plage, last seen when scoring at Lingfield in January, requires a market check as the yard's representatives are frequently well backed when fancied and it will be interesting to see how she goes on this initial sortie over a seventh furlong. Black Bess, Abaco Ridge and Desirable all house room for improvement.
