      Verdict

      LATE SHIPMENT is likely to make a much better three-year-old and has to be monitored in the betting on his handicap debut. He has more scope than Duly Acclaimed, who got off the mark in an apprentices' race over 1m2f here in February and can race off the same mark. Blue Oyster looks a bigger danger as Philip McBride's filly was clear of the remainder when runner-up to the odds-on Piton over 1m3f at Kempton, though the selection's trainer should know where he stands with the top weight.
