A bit of a non-event to start proceedings as the presence of SPEEDFIEND has apparently frightened off all but one of the opposition. That's not a major surprise as he's now rated 105 after finishing fourth behind Astaire in the Group 1 Middle Park Stakes at Newmarket in October. This should be no more than an exercise gallop for Noel Quinlan's charge given there's little chance of Happydoingnothing causing an upset according to the form book.
