In depth

Verdict

Both Aidan O'Brien and Jim Bolger had three entries at the early stage. The former relies on the newcomer PALACE, who is entered in the 1000 Guineas and Oaks in Ireland and the UK, which is hardly surprising given she's related to a host of useful winners. She's taken to make a winning start though Bolger's Intense Debate showed steady improvement in her first campaign and, with her stable starting the new season in very good shape, she looks certain to be involved. John Oxx' few runners to date have been going well without quite getting there so Sherama, who caught the eye on her introduction over 7f here in October, should get into the frame with progress almost guaranteed while Tommy Stack's Danehill Dancer filly Waltzing Matilda is a full sister to the useful Vault. Fantastic Dilly looks best of the Willie McCreery pair.
