      Verdict

      Appease was readily outpaced over 1m by Silverheels at Kempton but still finished ahead of Mia's Boy, who is on the downgrade. Dandy was tailed off on his only previous start on Polytrack but did win twice over this trip on good to firm ground last year and there's no reason why he shouldn't handle this surface. VEERAYA will have to prove he stays this far but everything else is in his favour. He's won at the track and his latest third over a mile here is the best recent form on offer. Shelley Birkett also takes off 5lb again. Syncopate was only beaten a neck over course and distance last time but this is a stronger contest.
