        Verdict

        MAWADDAH gets the nod in this opener ahead of Court Drinking and Tislimeen. Richard Hannon traditionally does well at this time of year and this son of Intikhab showed enough last season to suggest that he can pick up a race this year. He is proven on an artificial surface and a repeat of his third to Next Mover should be enough to win this. Court Drinking should have fitness on his side after a fair fourth to Call To Arms last month, whilst newcomer Magic Omen represents a strong yard and the market should help guide to his chance today. He was resold for $250,000 so has quite a bit of winning to do, although he may need more time and distance judging by his pedigree. Asterrlini is open to more improvement after just one start in a good Newmarket maiden, Tislimeen is dropped in grade having contested a Listed race when last seen in October, whilst Army Of Stars shaped with some promise at Wolverhampton in January. An interesting race, which can go the way of Mawaddah.
