In depth

Verdict

Barton Sands might be the answer to this competitive event with Fiveoclockexpres and Cormorant Wharf the pair we fear the most. The selection won well last time when beating Bishops Finger over this course and distance and his strike rate in these type of events is quite impressive. Fiveoclockexpres was a fair second behind Gallery Breeze last time but that form has since been let down and although he may be good enough to get a place here others are preferred. Cormorant Wharf is another who won well last time when beating Barzak at Wolverhampton but he has a frustrating profile and he cannot be backed with any real confidence. Burgundy ran his usual reliable race last time and is another with place prospects, but for the winner we return to Barton Sands.
