      Verdict

Adjusted ratings make this a tight heat and maybe the winner will be Armatrading, with others to consider being Seattle Robber, Coombe Centenary and Laurollie. Running through the field and Seattle Robber remains consistent and deserves to get his head in front. Coombe Centenary was just touched off in a similar event over course and distance last time, Paper Doll's recent improvement came in a seller, while Laurollie is six pounds better off for the three lengths he finished behind Seattle Robber at Wolverhampton last time. Lakesdale, who ran well two runs ago in cheekpieces, sees them left off today and there is a possibility that the step up in trip will suit, even though most of her form is modest. The lightly-raced Armatrading improved last time, was staying on and can improve further today and put up a decent show, and Ugly Sister also showed improvement last time and may be capable of better, although we prefer others today. Chief among these is Armatrading, who gets the vote.
