Verdict
That'll Be The Day was very impressive in testing ground at Gowran and, though meeting much better quality rivals, can go well under his penalty. Winning point-to-pointer Heather Rocco easily landed a course and distance maiden but then hung left throughout when last of four at Thurles. One Down has won a bumper and a maiden hurdle but his best run came when a close fourth in a Navan Grade 3 while Tramore maiden winner Mr Coldstone will find this less daunting than the Grade 1 he ran in at Leopardstown. Zanavi won a Fairyhouse maiden by 13 lengths and started odds-on here next time but couldn't quicken off a very slow pace. AN EPIC SONG joined Martin Brassil from France and the four-year-old made an excellent debut for the yard at Gowran so has to be respected with his allowance and just gets the vote in what looks a tight contest.
