Verdict
Song of The Isles completed a hat-trick over today’s trip before beaten over a mile when last in action while Dancinginthewoods has every chance on last year’s best form. Russian Virtue makes his handicap debut on his reappearance but Chookie Dunedin won at Wolverhampton last month and can race off a lower mark back here given his poor strike-rate on the Turf. FANCY FOOTINGS also has recent form with a second at Southwell and, having slipped back down to a winning mark, Richard Fahey’s charge gets the nod for a yard that has won four of the last eight renewals. Seas Of Elzaam went close at Newcastle earlier when ahead of both Old News and The Great Heir with the unexposed Mossbawn also worthy of a second glance.
