Tsar Paul was beaten out of sight in his three previous starts but has evidently improved out of all recognition over the winter as he landed a gamble on his handicap debut at Dundalk earlier this month for which he has been raised 5lbs. PHILOSOPHERS GUEST finished 5th that day and looked as though the outing would do her good. She's still a maiden after 13 starts but won't get many better opportunities than this. Musical Review is a specialist at Cork and loves plenty of give as she showed when making all over 1m1f there on her return. She is equally at home over today's trip and should go well despite a 5lbs rise. Slapper has a 2lbs rise to contend with after a narrow defeat by Little Arrows at Leopardstown, his best run since arriving from Italy where he was a prolific winner.
