Verdict

Jim Bolger loves this race having won five of the last seven. BOUNDLESS OCEAN looks to have been primed for a repeat having run twice in the past few days, the latest when unlucky in-running in a Group 3 over 7f here a week ago. He’ll need to step up again over this trip but looks capable of doing so. Aidan O’Brien also has an outstanding record in the race and has two entries with Anchorage looking easily the best of the pair. He looked much better than a handicapper when easily landing a Thurles nursery and looks certain to get into contention. William Haggas has been in unstoppable form in the UK and wouldn’t be sending Nottingham winner Grenoble without good reason while Duke De Sessa was impressive over a mile at the Curragh before finding Group 1 company too much to handle in the National Stakes back there. There are plenty of maiden winners coming with high hopes including Caroline Herschel, very impressive at Killarney.
