      Verdict

Futun, Mobaasher and Woolfall Blue are the three for the shortlist in this maiden and the vote is given to Futun. The selection hails from a yard in flying form and he created a favourable impression on his debut last season when third behind Narvik. He looks a potentially nice colt and it will be a surprise if he is not good enough to take this. Mobaasher should give him the most to think about as he is a half-brother to the brilliant Russian Rhythm and if the market were to speak in his favour then he would have to be considered. However, the stable have not found top gear just yet and he may benefit from the experience today. Woolfall Blue has had plenty of chances without taking one and although he has experience on his side, it will be disappointing if one of these unexposed types does not beat him. My Putra was well-fancied on his first run of the season but gave the impression he would be better for the run and with his stable in good form he should not be dismissed lightly. However, Futun has plenty in his favour and is taken to score.
