In depth
Verdict
Jamie Spencer has done well when teaming up with Michael Bell this season so Blue Monkey has to be respected first time out but lack of experience is a concern so preference is for Fool Me, who gets the vote ahead of Mystery World. The last mentioned is entitled to come on for his debut as most of the yard's horses improve with racing but the stable of Mark Johnston has been quiet of late and preference is for Fool Me. Ed McMahon's colt ran with promise on his debut over course and distance, staying on when the penny finally dropped and he would not need to improve much on that to win this. Mick Channon's Suhayl Star failed to progress from his debut run and is probably best watched now, while a market move for Little Tommy Fella would be of interest. Our Toy Soldier showed improved form at Beverley last time and has to be considered but preference is for Fool Me, who should come on a bundle for his debut run.
