Beneking gets the vote in this competitive contest to open the card with Piccleyes and Fizzy Lizzy rated as the main dangers. The selection is a course and distance winner and he may get his reward tonight for a string of consistent efforts. He was only beaten a neck last time out at Lingfield over 6f behind Desert Light when he was caught in the shadows of the post. Although he has been running over longer trips of late, he did show good early pace last time and if he can break smartly he could take plenty of catching. Piccleyes rates the main danger as he reverts to the all-weather after a disappointing effort on the turf last time. There is little doubt that he is best on the all-weather and if he runs up to his best he should be capable of making the frame. Fizzy Lizzy is a half-sister to Chairman Bobby and she does go well here. She was a little disappointing last time but that run may have come too quickly for her as she had won here only a couple of days earlier and she is not one to dismiss lightly. Mill By The Stream has arguably the best jockey in the race on board and ran well after a break last time so could be capable of taking a place, but for the winner we will return to Beneking.
