SUMMERS TARGET looks the one to be on in this moderate maiden, while Verinco can go well and Luisa Tetrazzini is an interesting debutant. The selection has the most solid form of this field, but before getting carried away he has been a beaten favourite on three of his seven starts, so he is far from bombproof. There is no reason why he shouldn't handle a bit of cut though and if producing his true running he can score. Verinco will handle the ground and has run some very good races in defeat in the context of this one. He sees a racecourse for the first time since October tonight and also drops back in trip, and whether he will be sharp enough is open to question. Kevin Ryan's Luisa Tetrazzini is a nicely-related Hawk Wing filly who should handle the surface and may well be capable of taking a close hand with the stable's runners in decent nick, and we should pay attention to the market. Dilli Dancer has shown a bit of ability in two starts and should be in the shake-up if coping with conditions, though she will receive a handicap mark after this and may be best watched. Aegean Shadow is another newcomer related to winners at this age and around this trip, so coming from a yard that likes a flutter she might have a squeak. Little else appeals and Summers Target can be a hit.
