Verdict
Makbullet might be well drawn and the most experienced of these maidens but his profile doesn't show a great deal of improvement so instead we turn to the in-form trainer Richard Fahey who sends out NEWBURY STREET with Ejaab also considered. The selection was expected to do a bit better on his debut at Nottingham last time but still put in an encouraging display to grab a place. That came in similar conditions and he shaped as if this step up in trip would suit. Makbullet has had four attempts at breaking his maiden tag with his best performance coming over this trip. A top apprentice takes a valuable three pounds off of his back and from his inside draw he should go well. The well bred Ejaab should improve from his debut in a warm looking contest at Newmarket last time where he wasn't exactly given a hard time once he was beaten and is another to add to the shortlist while Leopard Hills should be more effective back down at this trip. It's an intriguing race to start where Newbury Street should be paved with gold.
