LAYLA'S BOY is the one for us in the opener, while Chairman Pat is likely to give him plenty to do. The selection races over a trip that is still ideal for him as a juvenile, although he will clearly get further in time. The yard remains in good form, which is good news, and the colt is going the right way if his second at Ayr last time is anything to go by. Being by Sakhee there is every chance he will handle some cut and we will side with him. Chairman Pat is a nice colt in the care of Tom Dascombe and he too is steadily going the right way. He was well held by the winner at Lingfield last time but nonetheless ran with credit in context and won't be far away. Giulietta Da Vinci improved for both her first run and the step up in trip at Salisbury last time and if she can handle this softer surface she is likely to make her presence felt. Omaruru is related to winners over this age and at this trip and is likely to have a good idea of what is required for this debut, so if there is market support for him it will probably be significant. Elizabelle looks sure to show more this time, but preference is for Layla's Boy.
