In depth
Verdict
Sedgwick won well ten days ago and whilst he may not have beaten a lot, he is taken to continue his trainer's good form with another win here, at the main expense of recent winners Sunset Boulevard and Penang Cinta. The selection appreciated the step up in trip when scoring in facile fashion at Nottingham recently and whilst today's ground will be quicker, he should go well. Despite being a half-brother to smart sprinter Reverence, he seems to stay well so this further step up in trip should be within his compass. Penang Cinta and Sunset Boulevvard have shown their best form on the all-weather. Today's good ground should suit the latter (two turf runs were on soft where he ran poorly). Wild Fell Hall is of definite interest as he put up his best run so far when third at Pontefract and given the stiff finish there, the extra distance today shouldn't be a problem. Brigadore has been out of form of late so cannot be recommended, and so we will return to the in-form James Given runner Sedgwick to go in again.
