Tony Carroll's Nisaal faces no easy task under the burden of 9st 7lb and preference is for MATA HARI BLUE, who can reverse running with Mick Channon's The Human League on running at Goodwood last month now that he meets that rival on 5lb better terms for two lengths. Convince and Toby Tyler both have solid place claims but are unlikely to be good enough to win and of more interest may be Paul Howling's recent Wolverhampton winner Pipers Piping, although he may need some help from the handicapper. Red Dagger has gone up 7lb for his win at Newcastle two outings ago and looks too high now.
