Verdict

Jim Boyle's Peace Corps has been running consistently well of late and should be thereabouts again but is likely to once more have to settle for minor honours. The Ian Williams-trained Layla's Lexi would probably prefer a faster surface and preference is for Richard Hannon's ESSEXBRIDGE, who is likely to be at short odds for this claimer. With ground conditions to suit, he is hard to oppose in a race that should not take a great deal of winning. Marafong looks to have too much to do at the weights, while Second Brook is hard to recommend on recent form.
