A competitive 3yr old handicap and Sahaadi is selected to land it with the benefit of a recent Chepstow outing under her belt. An all-the-way winner of a Brighton nursery at the backend of last season, connections failed to adopt those tactics at Chepstow where she was held up in rear and also was hampered in the closing stages. Drawn one off the rail here, expect Pat Dobbs to pop out and to be on the pace. High Standing attained a very lenient handicap mark last season having been campaigned over the minimum trip on his first three outings. Today¿s rider was aboard for two wins last backend and the additional furlong should play to his strengths. Market support would be interesting but the lack of a recent outing against race-fit rivals would be a concern although there is a possibility he could remain well handicapped off 76. Connor's Choice makes his handicap debut and hails from a yard who have had their horses in outstanding form in recent months. He came up against a potentially very smart sort in Masaalek on his first outing this year in what could have been quite a decent maiden with some top yards represented. He is another likely to be forcing the issue. Market moves for Just Sort It should be noted as most of his performances last season were done on easier surfaces and breeding suggests he will be more effective on a sounder surface. The yard trained the well-supported Mega Watt to land a similar contest which the selection Sahaadi contested on her seasonal debut. As always with these 3yr old handicaps it looks competitive with some potentially well handicapped sorts in it but Sahaadi gets the nomination.
