Verdict
Nothing leaps off the page here and so it might be worth chancing LODI over Learo Dochais and Oh So Saucy. John Akehurst's gelding is down to a mark of 70 today and is fitted with cheek-pieces for the first time. His last win came off a 4lb higher mark and with wins at this time of year before he looks likely to run well at a nice price. Learo Dochais looked a different horse here last month when he was ridden from the front and it would be no surprise to see another bold bid under just a 4lb rise in the weights, Cut And Thrust has been in great form on the all-weather and is not ignored as he returns to turf, whilst Lucy Brown hasn't been with the yard for long but may need some more help from the handicapper before she is successful. Oh So Saucy is a course and distance winner and she should come on for her Lingfield spin, Flowing Cape has been in consistent form of late and he continues to edge down to a nice mark, whilst Arabian Pearl got the job done at Leicester last time with the minimum of fuss and is respected despite a 7lb higher mark. Forget Lochan Mor's Southwell flop and he rates a danger given his consistency, Seasider is in good form but finds it hard to win, whilst San Antonio needs a market check on this return from a year on the sidelines. Open stuff then but the tentative nod goes to Lodi.
