Verdict

This is a one horse race and that one horse is undoubtedly Lord Halfnothin who just has to jump round to collect. Lord Halfnothin has not been extended in either of his two races since coming over from Ireland, and this former Irish hunter chaser has no more to do than when hacking around at Folkestone and Fontwell. This is a similarly small field and he will be able to dominate from start to finish. For second place, Six Pack is the pick. Andrew Turnell's five-year-old has never jumped a fence in public but will at least be fit enough after a fruitless summer on both the flat and over hurdles. Lord Halfnothin is an obvious if extremely short-priced selection.
