Verdict

Even More is taken to land a tight little affair ahead of Channarlie and Zafarabad. Even More comes from the stable that houses both Kingscliff and Sir Rembrandt, and is no slouch himself judged on a sound display at Kempton where he beat Mounsey Castle to add to an earlier success there. The way he won suggests that he would have proved the answer even if the hot favourite Rodalko had not departed while in the lead, and he gets the chance to prove that here. Philip Hobbs the trainer of Mounsey Castle, saddles Zafarabad so should know where he stands, but his runner has to concede six pounds to the selection, which will be no easy task. Channarlie gets weight all round and has been in a rich vein of form over fences. They have all been in amateur company though and he has a bit more to do. Even so he is in the form of his life and can make a race of it with our idea of the winner, Even More.
