Cool Spice has more to offer and is the selection ahead of Tisho and Martin Pipe's newcomer Phenomenon. Cool Spice was rated 77 on the flat for Bryn Palling but has the scope to better that over timber. Granted she did not beat a great deal at Cheltenham on her timber debut in October, but the way that she went about her business suggests that more success will come, without her perhaps being good enough at a much higher level. It is interesting to see Tisho dropped back in trip as she seemed suited by further when winning at Taunton. However, Leicester has a stiff finish, so she should not be found wanting if it turns into a slog. Like the selection, she has to carry a penalty, and they will both have to be on their toes if Phenomenon jumps well enough. She is owned by Bill Gredley of User Friendly fame and is well-bred, being by Unfuwain out of a Slip Anchor mare. Rare Quality is another newcomer to keep on the right side as she is from a leading yard as well, but for the answer to the opener we return to Cool Spice.
