BELLE BELLINO can record back to back successes with victory coming at the main expense of Doric Lady and Hurricane Harriet. The selection was winning for the first time in her career last month when making her debut for Ralph Beckett at Bath in an average maiden. The handicapper couldn't react to that given the paucity of the opposition but it seems likely that there's a good deal more improvement to come now that her talent has been unlocked and she can take this handicap. Hurricane Harriet failed to cope with the drop back to five furlongs when turned over at a short price last time but she should be able to resume her upward curve over this more suitable trip. Dualagi is on a fair enough mark and Meridian Line in form but the biggest threat may come from Doric Lady. James Toller's filly produced a decent effort to win her maiden at Yarmouth and remains well enough handicapped if she is able to go on from there. There has to be some doubt about that given her profile though and Belle Bellino rates the more attractive option.
