DANCING MARABOUT wins our vote although Near The Front and Just Sam command respect. Charles Egerton has hit the target with four of the seven horses that he has run in sellers in the past five seasons and he saddles the highest rated horse in this contest and has engaged the services of the Champion Jockey elect. Whether Dancing Marabout's rating is a true reflection of his ability is open to question but the statistics suggest that it's worth taking the chance to find out. Just Sam represents a safer proposition as she has been admirably consistent this season. She has something to find at the weights though, is still without a win and is likely to have to settle for a place at best once again. Dazzling Begum made a decent debut in a similar contest and has claims if she can improve on that performance whilst Oronsay is not dismissed. Near The Front represents a respected combination and has a clear chance at the weights. He showed improved form in a first time visor at Beverley last month and is entitled to come on for the run. He rates the best alternative to the selection, Dancing Marabout.
