Imperial Lucky is the sporting selection in a wide open contest, Quince and Wizard Quay are also expected to go well. Mark Wallace has his string in good order and Imperial Lucky looks set for a good run. She landed a Catterick maiden in early August, before running well in a handicap and a seller. She doesn't look badly treated in this lowly event and should make her presence felt. Three duck eggs for Quince hide the fact that he has shown plenty of ability. You can ignore his last run over six furlongs on the all-weather, but his previous run behind Dark Islander over this trip is good form in the context of this race. We expect a big run from this one under Jamie Spencer. Wizard Quay showed improved form last time to finish second in a similar race at Yarmouth and looks to have a decent each-way chance. Charles Hather is another to consider for place purposes, but our idea of the winner is Imperial Lucky.
