Verdict

SIR THEODORE was a disappointing favourite at Haydock just two days ago but it is surely significant that Richard Spencer returns him to action so quickly after such a low-key run. He'd previously impressed when making all at Nottingham and is given another chance, although stakes should be tempered after that last run and also due to the fact that he's asked to concede over a stone to all rivals. Lady Joanna Vassa, third to the selection on her latest run, should be involved once again, whilst significant cash for the lightly-raced Andalusite should be seriously noted. She has potential for improvement. David's Beauty also has claims on the back of a brave course and distance success last time
