Ilie Nastase wasn't beaten far off this mark at Windsor five days ago and is one of the more likely winners of this finale. Veteran Tanforan is well treated on his old form but Scorn returns from a short break and is still seeking a first win while Vezere is still a maiden after 15 starts. Fault disappointed at Brighton last month and was beaten in a seller over this C&D earlier in the year so we'll give a tentative vote to MUFTARRES. Paul Midgley's six-year-old can be forgiven his latest run at Beverley, where he was always off the pace after missing the break. He should have more time to find his stride over this extra furlong and there was nothing wrong with his previous efforts this season.
